Stork-billed Kingfisher

You see that extraordinarily large bill? This is the reasons it is called as "Stork-billed Kingfisher" (Pelargopsis capensis). This colorful and large bird is fairly common in southern India. This specific image was taken in Kerala, when the bird was staring at the water beneath for fish.

Oregon's Columbia River Gorge.

This is very very good Dave Morrow  actually loves the green color on the plantation. A shot taken last year in the Columbia River Gorge which likes to be viewed on a black background but could be viewed on white if you are into that sorta thing. I climbed around all afternoon looking for the location and finally made it there in the very late afternoon. Luckly the sun was dropping quickly and lit up the falls as it fell below the tree line.Photo Credit

Kanarra Creek Canyon

One more beautiful picture of Kanarra Creek Canyon which is located just north of Zion National Park but outside. This creek was my first wet slot canyon, and it left a deep impression of the magic of such places. I am building a list of other canyons I want to visit now.
